BXL Tour —

After the smooth execution of the challenge to collect 3000 riders in the streets of Brussels for an unknown cycling race, the City of Brussels is back!

This year, BXL TOUR takes place on Sunday June 17 and promises to be a unique edition, because it will be dominated by another famous cycling event: The Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2019, which will take place in Brussels from 1 until 7 July. In 2019 we will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the yellow jersey, a jersey that our fantastic Eddy Merckx has worn the most and of which the record still stands today at 111 times!

The greatest cyclist of all time will honor us with his presence at BXL TOUR and the famous “red car” will also be present.

The race, which starts at Place des Palais and ends at the Atomium, will cross several municipalities and offers participants the opportunity to discover the brand new course that ties in with the time trial of the Grand Départ 2019.

Upon arrival, the BIKECITY village, with many activities regarding bikes, will welcome the participants after their efforts, as well as the people of Brussels and other visitors who would like to join in on this joyful moment.

For the City of Brussels this is also an opportunity to confirm the use of bicycles in Brussels again.
